At the initiative of the Director of the Institute for Culture, Mrs. Herta Žagar, I was invited to hold an art workshop and present my works in the city of Slovenska Bistrica (Slovenia). It was an honor to accept this invitation, to which my dear friend and colleague Vojko Gašperut also responded very willingly.
On Thursday, May 15, 2025, in Slovenska Bistrica, we held a large outdoor art workshop together, in which numerous children from the city, brought by their teachers, participated. They were all very interested in our way of working and all happily tried painting with their mouths or feet. We told them about our lives, how we became painters and how the VDMFK supports our artistic careers. Our greeting cards and promotional materials were displayed and distributed to children and adults.
On the same day, in the afternoon, our joint exhibition entitled Dreamy Landscapes (Sanjske pokrajine) was opened in the beautiful surroundings of the old town, which was officially opened by the Deputy Mayor of Slovenska Bistrica, Mr. Modest Motaln. The exhibition itself was arranged by Mrs. Martina Zanjkovič and numerous collaborators. During the opening, my wife Kristina sang together with her colleague Slovenian singer Teja accompanied by a pianist, which further enriched the entire event. I am sending you numerous photos, videos and a report published by local television.
Both of these events were attended by numerous enthusiastic visitors who congratulated us all and provided truly valuable support. The exhibition will remain open until 20.8.2025.
